Monumental sculpture
and public art

Department of Visual Arts | School of Sculpture

Davide Fadda

The Monumental Sculpture and Public Art course aims to significantly enhance the language and artistic practices of sculptural representation, especially in urban and suburban public spaces, through the consistent development of skills related to the management of three-dimensional artwork, working with different materials and technologies.

The program’s activities are closely aligned with the concrete dynamics of artistic experimentation, in collaboration with public institutions, museums, galleries, and art prizes, and aim to develop individual research skills in the main fields of contemporary monumental sculpture: installations, plastic forms, site-specific art, and virtual systems.

The Level II graduate will be able to move independently in the realm of artistic experimentation aimed at reshaping public spaces, museum environments, urban environments, and landscapes to propose ways of critically reconfiguring the public’s aesthetic experience.
